PushStartGo Advisor Terms
For advisors, consultants, accountants, coaches, and counselors who serve clients on PushStartGo
Last Updated: October 19, 2026 (version 2026-10-19)
These Advisor Terms are an agreement between you and Push Start Go LLC (“PushStartGo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). They apply when you use an advisor account on PushStartGo.com (the “Website”) to work with business owners, list yourself in the advisor directory, or bill clients through the Website.
These Advisor Terms add to our Website Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Subscription & Purchase Terms, which also apply to you. If these Advisor Terms conflict with those documents on a topic that concerns your work as an advisor, these Advisor Terms control.
Please read Section 10 carefully. It makes you responsible for refunds, chargebacks, and dispute fees on payments your clients make to you, and it authorizes us to recover those amounts from you.
1. Definitions
- “Advisor” or “you” means the person or business that holds an advisor account, and anyone who uses that account on your behalf.
- “Client” means a business owner, or a member of their team, who connects with you on the Website, whether you invited them or they found you in the directory.
- “Advisor Services” means the advice, work, deliverables, and other services you provide to a Client, whether or not they are delivered or paid for through the Website.
- “Client Payment” means any payment a Client makes to you through the Website, including invoices, packages, and monthly retainers.
- “Client Payment Loss” means any refund, chargeback, payment reversal, dispute fee, dispute counter fee, or other amount that a card network, bank, or Stripe takes back or charges in connection with a Client Payment, together with any related fee or loss we incur.
- “Stripe” means Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates, which process payments on the Website.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you accept these Advisor Terms for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business, and “you” includes that business.
You agree to give accurate information about yourself and your business, keep it current, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Each advisor account is for one person; firms that want several advisors to share clients must use the firm features we offer for that purpose.
3. Our role and your independent relationship with us
PushStartGo provides software that helps advisors and business owners work together. We do not provide Advisor Services, we do not supervise or direct your work, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a Client.
You are an independent business. Nothing in these Advisor Terms makes you our employee, agent, partner, joint venturer, or franchisee. You may not make promises, statements, or commitments on our behalf, and you may not suggest that we endorse, guarantee, or are responsible for your Advisor Services. A verified partner badge, a rating, or a directory listing is not an endorsement.
4. Your services and professional responsibilities
You alone are responsible for your Advisor Services, including their quality, accuracy, timeliness, and results, and for any agreement you make with a Client about scope, fees, refunds, and cancellation. We recommend a written engagement agreement with every Client.
You agree that you will:
- hold and keep current every license, registration, certification, and permit your Advisor Services require, and describe your credentials truthfully;
- follow the laws, regulations, and professional rules that apply to you, including any rules of your licensing board or professional body;
- carry any insurance your profession, your clients, or the law requires, such as professional liability insurance;
- not promise results you cannot reasonably expect to deliver, such as guaranteed funding, approvals, or revenue; and
- not provide services the law reserves to a licensed profession you do not hold.
Licensed professionals. If you are an attorney, certified public accountant, investment adviser, or other regulated professional, you are responsible for confirming that your use of the Website, including our platform fee on Client Payments and our directory, complies with the rules that govern your profession, such as rules on advertising, client confidentiality, conflicts, and sharing fees. If those rules do not allow a feature, do not use that feature.
5. Your profile, directory listing, and reviews
Information you put in your profile and directory listing must be accurate and not misleading. You may not post fake reviews, review yourself, offer anything in exchange for a positive review, or pressure a Client to change a review. You may respond to reviews in a professional manner.
We may edit how your listing is displayed, decline to list you, or remove content that breaks these Advisor Terms or our Community Guidelines. Where we say a credential or affiliation is verified, such as a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) or SCORE partner badge, we may ask for proof and may remove the badge if we cannot confirm it.
6. Working with client information
A Client decides what you can see and do in their business on the Website, and can change or remove your access at any time. You agree that you will:
- use Client information only to provide Advisor Services to that Client;
- keep Client information confidential, and not sell, rent, share, or publish it, except as the Client allows or the law requires;
- protect Client information with reasonable security, including on any device or system you copy it to;
- not copy, scrape, or export Client information in bulk except through features we provide for that purpose; and
- follow the privacy and data protection laws that apply to you, and any duties of confidentiality your profession imposes.
When a Client ends your connection, your access to their business ends. Private notes, time records, and other records you created stay in your account, but they may contain Client information, and the duties in this section continue to apply to them. If you learn of unauthorized access to Client information through your account, tell us promptly at hello@pushstartgo.com.
7. Advisor plans, fees, and programs
Advisor plans, their prices, client limits, discounts, and referral credits are described on the Website and are governed by our Subscription & Purchase Terms. We may change prices or plan features as those terms describe.
Sponsored seats. If you choose to pay for a Client’s plan, you are responsible for that charge until you stop sponsoring the Client. Ending a sponsorship does not delete the Client’s data.
Partner programs. If you take part in a partner program, such as our program for SBDC and SCORE counselors, you confirm that you are eligible and will tell us if you stop being eligible. Program benefits, such as longer free periods for your Clients or a higher client limit at no charge, may end if you are no longer eligible or if the program changes.
8. Billing your clients through PushStartGo
Payment processing. Client Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Connect. To bill Clients you must create a Stripe account through the Website and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe’s terms govern your Stripe account. We may share information about you and your Client Payments with Stripe as needed to provide the service.
You are the seller. For every Client Payment you are the seller of the Advisor Services, and your business name appears on your Client’s card statement. Choose a statement name your Clients will recognize. You are responsible for the prices you set and for fulfilling what you bill for.
Fees. You pay Stripe’s payment processing fees on your Client Payments, and you pay PushStartGo’s platform fee, which is shown on the Website when you create an invoice or retainer. As of the date above, the platform fee is 1% of each payment, with a minimum of $2 and a maximum of $50 per invoice, and the same share applies to each monthly retainer payment. We collect both fees from the payment before it reaches you. Because Stripe’s final processing fee is known only after a payment, we may adjust the amount we collected so that you pay exactly Stripe’s fee plus the platform fee. We may change the platform fee with at least 30 days’ notice; a change applies to payments made after it takes effect.
Billing rules. You agree that you will:
- bill only for Advisor Services a Client has agreed to buy, at the price agreed;
- describe each invoice and retainer clearly enough that the Client will recognize the charge;
- honor a Client’s request to cancel a monthly retainer, and not charge for periods after cancellation unless your written agreement with the Client allows it;
- not add surcharges or fees that the law or the card networks do not allow; and
- not use the Website to process payments for anything other than your own Advisor Services, or for any product, service, or business that Stripe or the law prohibits.
Limits and holds. We may set limits on invoice and retainer amounts, delay or decline a payment that looks fraudulent or high risk, and pause your ability to bill Clients while we review activity on your account.
9. Refunds
Your refund and cancellation policy is your own, and you are responsible for telling your Clients what it is. Refunds you give through the Website are taken from your Stripe balance. When you refund a payment in full, we may also refund our platform fee to the Client, but Stripe’s processing fee is generally not returned.
If the law requires a refund, or Stripe or a card network requires one, you are responsible for it even if your own policy says otherwise.
10. Chargebacks, payment disputes, and reimbursement
You are responsible for Client Payment Losses. Client Payments are processed through our Stripe account and then paid out to you. Because of this, when a Client disputes a payment with their bank, Stripe takes the disputed amount and any dispute fee from PushStartGo first. You agree to reimburse us in full for every Client Payment Loss, including the disputed amount, Stripe’s dispute fees and counter fees, and any related fees, whatever the reason for the dispute.
How we recover what you owe. You authorize us, without further notice, to recover any Client Payment Loss in any of these ways, in any order:
- reversing all or part of the transfer we made to you for the disputed payment;
- debiting your Stripe account balance;
- withholding or deducting the amount from future Client Payments and payouts to you;
- charging any payment method you have on file with us; or
- invoicing you for the amount, which is due within 15 days of the invoice.
If a dispute is decided in your favor. If the bank or card network decides a dispute in your favor and returns the money to us, we will return what we recovered from you for that dispute, minus any fee Stripe keeps.
Responding to disputes. We will tell you when a dispute is opened on one of your Client Payments. You agree to send us, within 5 business days of our request, any evidence that would help answer the dispute, such as your engagement agreement, records of the work you did, and your communications with the Client. We decide whether and how to respond to a dispute, and you authorize us to share your evidence with Stripe and the card networks for that purpose.
Unpaid amounts and high dispute rates. While you owe us any amount under this section, or if your rate of disputes or refunds is high enough to put the Website’s payment processing at risk, we may pause your ability to bill Clients, place a reserve on future payouts, or end your access to billing.
Survival. This section continues to apply after your account closes or these Advisor Terms end, for every Client Payment made before then.
11. Disagreements between you and your clients
Disagreements about Advisor Services, fees, refunds, or results are between you and your Client. You agree to try in good faith to resolve a Client’s complaint directly before the Client turns to their bank. We may, but are not required to, help you and a Client communicate, and we may share relevant records from the Website with both of you and with Stripe. We do not decide disputes between you and a Client.
12. Taxes
You are responsible for all taxes on your income and on the Advisor Services you sell, including deciding whether you must collect sales or similar taxes from Clients. Stripe may issue tax forms, such as Form 1099-K, for Client Payments under its own rules and thresholds. You agree to give Stripe and us any tax information we are required to collect.
13. Your promises to us
You promise that the information you give us is true, that you have the right to provide your Advisor Services, that your Advisor Services and your use of the Website follow the law and the rules of your profession, and that you will follow these Advisor Terms.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Push Start Go LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, fine, or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arises out of or relates to:
- your Advisor Services, including any advice you gave or work you did;
- any agreement or disagreement between you and a Client;
- Client Payments, refunds, and Client Payment Losses;
- your handling of Client information; or
- your breach of these Advisor Terms or of any law or professional rule.
15. Disclaimers and limits on our liability
The Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation on Liability sections of our Website Terms of Use apply to your use of the Website as an advisor. In addition, we do not promise that you will get any number of Clients, referrals, or payments through the Website.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of these Advisor Terms or your advisor account is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to PushStartGo in the 12 months before the claim arose or $100. This limit does not reduce your obligations to us under Sections 10 and 14.
16. Suspension and termination
You may close your advisor account at any time. We may suspend or end your advisor account, your directory listing, or your ability to bill Clients if you break these Advisor Terms, if we reasonably believe your account is being used for fraud or puts Clients or the Website at risk, if Stripe requires it, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem.
When your advisor account ends, your access to Clients’ businesses ends, your monthly retainers through the Website are canceled, and no new Client Payments can be made to you. Amounts you owe us, and Sections 6, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 18, continue to apply.
17. Changes to these Advisor Terms
We may update these Advisor Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or on the Website at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or by Stripe sooner. We may ask you to accept the updated terms before you create new invoices or retainers. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop billing Clients through the Website and close your advisor account.
18. General terms
The Governing Law and Jurisdiction, Arbitration, Limitation on Time to File Claims, and Waiver and Severability sections of our Website Terms of Use apply to these Advisor Terms. You may not assign these Advisor Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to a successor to our business. We may send notices to the email address on your account. These Advisor Terms, together with the documents named at the start, are the entire agreement between you and us about your advisor account.
